NANS Condoles Urges Jonathan to Investigate Uni-Uyo Crises
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has demanded for the constitution of a committee by President Goodluck Jonathan to investigate the allegation by the University of Uyo director of security, Lt Col Okon Nyong who attributed the crises in the university to the management.

NANS also called on the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the federal government to quickly venture into dialogue so as to avert an avoidable situation that could cost the lives of more students.

A NANS delegation made the remark yesterday in Abuja during a condolence visit to the Media Trust office over the recent death of its managing editor Malam Suleiman Mohammed led by its former president, comrade Martin Igwe and the Assistant Secretary General, Ali Abdullahi Muhammad.

Igwe, who read the association's position, said that "the Director of security of UNIUYO was confident that the Vice Chancellor's sloppy response was deliberate so that fire will raze documents and other materials that could be evidential in the event of graft investigation against it."
