UNCHE grant UTAMU License to offer Degree Courses

Uganda's National Council for Higher Education has granted the Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) license to offer local degree courses.

The University, owned by former Makerere University Vice Chancellor Professor Venansius Baryamureba was until recently offering international degree programmes.

"We have been offering courses for international universities in America and France because the NCHE has not granted us license to award our own degrees but with this license now UTAMU will award certificates and diplomas and confer Degrees in the name of UTAMU," said Baryamureeba.
