The trainees, selected from organisations affiliated with the Ministry of Energy, will study at the Korea Electric Power Corporation, said Director General of the Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat Mugo Kibati.
"As part of the wider effort to enhance and diversify our electricity generation capacity, Vision 2030 delivery secretariat is encouraged that a team of Kenyan students are now taking their nuclear science studies in Korea," he said.
The graduates are expected to play a key role in implementing plans for a nuclear energy network as Kenya works to increase its electricity generating capacity to over 19,000 megawatts over the next 20 years
