FRANCE; Students at elite universities disciplined for sexism

A club at the former elite French college of shamed ex-IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn advocated gang rape and suggested carrying out a simulated sexual attack on a feminist organisation, writes Daniel Miller for the Daily Mail.

Eight men are facing a disciplinary panel at the Bordeaux branch of the Institute of Political Studies, part of the Sciences Po network of institutes famous for educating many of the country's political and business leaders. The men were members of the group Osez Le Masculism (Dare to Choose Masculism), which threatened to invade a debate being held by a feminist organisation and "simulate a mass sexual attack".

And when the group's leaders asked its 45-odd members to vote on Facebook as to whether or not they approved of gang rape, a majority replied that they did.
