Abu Dhabi University Partners Australia’s QUT To Offer Degree In Business Administration

Undergraduate business administration students at Abu Dhabi University now have the opportunity to pursue their studies at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Business School as part of the “2+2” program that allows them to complete the first 2 years at ADU then transfer and graduate with a Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Business School.

 This initiative is part of a strategic partnership between both universities to enhance collaboration in teaching and research, as well as encourage student and faculty exchange.

Elaborating on this strategic partnership, Dr. Saju Jose Assistant Professor of Marketing at ADU’s College of Business Administration explained that perhaps one of the best aspects of this joint initiative with Queensland University of Technology’ Business School is that it is both cost and time effective for ADU students. “Over the years, there have been plenty of studies that focused on the increasing number of UAE-based students travelling abroad to study and obtain an international education, although there is no central database that keeps track of this number, experts and market trends assure us that the figure is on the rise”, said Dr. Jose

“With the launch of the ‘ADU- QUT 2+2’ program in collaboration with Queensland University of Technology which is one of the world’s few triple accredited business schools, ADU students will receive a cost effective international education without the need to spend years abroad. The 2+2 program allows students to finish 2 years of undergraduate studies at ADU covering courses in General Education, after which once they meet the entry requirements, they transfer and enroll at QUT for the next four semesters to graduate with a Bachelor of Business as opposed to being enrolled for a full time program abroad.

The program is designed in such a way that there will be an opportunity for internships in Australia for some majors that are covered by this initiative, thus exposing students to the unique experience of an international business-oriented work environment. Additionally, students who excel in the first two years at ADU by maintaining a high CGPA score, will be offered scholarship by QUT”, explained Dr.Jose.
