Effutu DCE commissions classroom block, distributes desks

The Municipal Chief Executive of Effutu Municipal Assembly Nii Ephraim together with the education directorate has distributed 400 dual desks to thirteen selected schools in the district.

The dual desks which cost the Assembly GHs600, 000 is in line with efforts to ensure adequate logistics at the schools for effective teaching and learning to improve quality education in the district.

The Chief Executive, Nii Ephraim said the assembly attached great importance to education and as such the assembly together with the education directorate will do all within its power to help improve the standard of education in the district.

He assured that all other schools facing challenges will be attended to as the assembly is in the process of procuring more for distribution.

Meanwhile, a new three unit classroom block has also been commissioned at Effutu Junior High School to help increase enrolment in the school.

Mr. Ephraim appealed to school authorities to ensure regular maintenance of the desks to save the district from unnecessary expenditure.
