BNI Distrupt Student Demoonstration In Jomoro Western Region

Operatives of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) reportedly prevented students of the Annor Adjaye Senior High School in the Jomoro District of the Western Region from demonstrating.

The demonstration was to express their displeasure against alleged mismanagement of fees collected by authorities of the school.

The students who wore red arms bands roamed the streets of Bonwire and other communities to express their anger at the school authorities.

However, the demonstration was quelled immediately after it started as BNI operatives stormed the school to restrain the students.

The students have been warned against granting media interviews and the schools authorities are also tightlipped on the matter.

The Assembly Member for Bonwire, Joseph Nyamekeh witnessed the action and told Citi News, the students are the demanding the supply of some school items which they had earlier paid for to the former headmaster of the school.

According to him, the new headmaster insists he has no knowledge of such a transaction between the former headmaster and the students, hence, the decision by the students to demonstrate.
