Upper West Akim District DCE commissions classroom block for Islamic Primary

Students of Adaeso Islamic Primary School in the Upper West Akim District in the Eastern Region now have reason to smile following the construction of a new 3-unit classroom block for the school.

The new project which also included other auxiliary facilities was constructed y the district assembly through its share of the common fund to alleviate the suffering of the students and teachers.

Commissioning the project, District Chief executive for the Upper West Akim District, Derek Ohene Asifo Bekoe said though the project was abandoned some years ago, it took the assembly only three months to complete it. He said infrastructure development remains a priority to government and the assembly will continue to make its own investment to support for accelerated solutions to their problems.

Mr. Bekoe asked parents to get involved in supporting stakeholders to give their children the best education for the future; and reminded the students to concentrate on their books and avoid bad companies.

In a related development, the DCE disclosed that government has allocated of the 200 community senior high schools to the assembly and expressed his profound gratitude to the president for the gesture.

According to him the school will be established on a 24 acre land which is already being cleared for actual construction to commence. He called for the support of all citizens to make the project a success.
