UNICEF
The official of the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), the Kenyan Anna Obura Wednesday in Luanda predicted success at the education sector should the country implement the educational reforms policies, surpassing the region-based countries running the similar programmes but without the desired effect.

The UNICEF official said so at 17th Conference of the Technical-Scientific Eduardo dos Santos Foundation ( FESA ) taking place at National Assembly under the theme "Youth in view of educational reform."

Addressing a topic on Gender relations in the context of training , Anna Obura argued that the policies on education gender are necessary, but should be developed quickly in order to have good impact.

She explained that several countries in the southern Africa region have impressive policies, but so far they (policies) are not implemented yet.

The UNICEF official defended the need to adopt mechanisms for detailed, monitoring and structural implementation plans and a choice at the highest level focused on education of girls , in order to promote the careers of women.

Speaking on gender relations in the context of training, Obura said that the principles of rights, diversity and efficiency require full representation of minorities, including women , in policy-making education sector.

To this end, she added that the organisation has been discussing with governments in order to promote and encourage young women to pursue training in non-traditional careers.
