HBMeU’s Cloud Campus Telecoms World ME

Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU)’s Cloud Campus initiative – the first-ever social online learning platform in the region, which embodies the Smart Learning approach – has generated an overwhelming response from participants at the recently concluded Telecoms World Middle East trade show which was held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai.

During Telecoms World Middle East 2013, Serine El Salhat, HBMeU’s Assistant Chancellor for International Cooperation, delivered a presentation on “Taking learning to the next level through Cloud Campus initiative” which promotes a culture of lifelong learning through social media channels. The university also set up a booth in the exhibition area to showcase its innovative e-learning program.

Cloud Campus is a ground-breaking yet affordable social online learning program which delivers e-learning services to all segments of society via personal accounts on Google+, LinkedIn and Facebook. It is the result of a strategic partnership with Global Learning S.A.R.L., a specialist in modern learning methods and techniques. Participants have access to over 1,600 interactive online lessons in the fields of mathematics, sciences and IT for school students from first to twelfth grade, as well as business skill development for adults via 180 certified programs in Leadership, Communication, Marketing and Islamic Banking, among many others. Over 600 online lessons in the English language for all age groups are provided as well. Program benefits include Academic Support, Certification, and Multi-Screen Access.

Held under the theme ‘Strategy, Innovation and Partnerships for Telcos,’ Telecoms World Middle East gathered leading telecom operators to discuss, debate and display the future of the region’s telecoms industry. Over 600 senior executives attended the event, facilitating dedicated networking opportunities for the participants.
