New Library Commissioned At Apam Methodist A/C School Gomoa

Newly Commissioned Library
A library centre has been commissioned at Apam in the Gomoa West District and handed over to the education directorate.

The library which has been one of the priority projects for the assembly to improve quality education and equip the children for the future.

The District Chief Executive, Theophilus Adu-Mensah disclosed that the project was started by the former Member of Parliament, Joe Hackman in 2004 but was abandoned when his term expired.

The assembly then took over the project considering its importance to the education sector especially in building reading habit of students.

The DCE also remind teachers of their responsibility of ensuring that their schools are properly run and children are given the best of training that make all round persons. 

He called for strong collaboration between parents and school authorities, while appealing to individuals, organizations and philanthropists to donate towards education in the district.

Msrs.  Florence Nkoom  an educationist of the district, reminded the teachers that government expects everyone  to take  active part in the running of educational institutions.

The assembly added four additional computers to the library.
