Cape Coast Polytechnic |
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a lecturer at the Cape Coast Polytechnic said the delay in the payment of their book and research allowance was gravely affecting academic work hence the agitation.
“The delay is negatively affecting academic work. The previous academic year has already ended and the research allowance that we are expecting is for that academic year. We are in a new academic year and so far we have not had a research allowance for the previous academic year,” he said.
According to him, most lecturers in the polytechnic "are expecting that hopefully by the end of this month, government can release that money to us so that we can be on track with regards to research and updating our knowledge.”
