Eldoret University To Open Satellite Campuses Accross Kenya

Eldoret University will establish satelite campuses in marginalised areas across the country.

Chancellor Judith Bahemuka said plans are the move will help young people access university education after completing the secondary school education.

She was speaking during her inauguration ceremony held at Eldoret campus. Mbula said the university will proivide relevant programmes to local communities in satelite towns.

" Secondary school students who have completed their education from marginalised areas who want to further their education can do so because we will have satellite campuses," Mbula said.

She said lack of proper financial management skills is to blame for the high cases of depression amongs local athletes. "As age is catching up they need to plan their future when they retire from being athletes," Mbula said.

She also said Eldoret has attracted a high number of investors because of its commercial potential and fame from athletics.
