Teachers Allegedly Impregnate Three Students in URR

Reliable sources said that three teachers have been accused of impregnating three students (names withheld) in the Upper River Region (URR).

The teachers, Muhammed Krubally, Kawsu Kinteh and Jabaa Gumaneh are said to be teaching in a lower basic, upper basic and a senior secondary school respectively, whilst the victims are students in Grades 8, 9 and 10 respectively.

However, one of the accused persons, Muhammed Krubally, was said to still be at large at the time of going to press.

When contacted, Kebba Jatta, the URR Regional Social Welfare officer, confirmed the three pregnancy cases and assured that his office will look into them. He urged parents to take greater care of their children.

For her part, the Regional Education director for Region 6, Basse, Claudiana Cole, said she did not receive any information about the said pregnancy cases, adding that she was out of town for sometime.
