International Students' Film Festival (ISFF) to hold in Jos
The maiden edition of the International Students' Film Festival (ISFF) is to hold in Jos, Plateau State come June 18th, 2013

A statement by the Film Festival Secretariat, said the four-day event which will hold at the National Film Institute (NFI) aims to expose students to international standards in film production, foster interaction with industry professionals, reward excellence, raise the awareness of young talents and refine skills through competition at an international level.

The festival, themed 'Moving Images: Talking Peace', is powered by the NFI, Jos; University of Jos (UJ); University of Lagos (Unilag) and sponsored by the World Bank, under the STEP -B project for the Centre of Excellence in Multimedia Technology and Cinematography. It is also expected to draw participants from over 50 institutions of higher learning from Nigeria and other African countries as well as countries in Asia running courses in film and related media studies, with over 2000 students also expected to attend.

Meanwhile, submission of film entries has opened to current film students not younger than 16 years.

Admission to all programmes including film screenings, master classes, the opening and closing/awards ceremonies are open to students, stakeholders, film enthusiasts, journalists, film scholars, administrators of film institutions, film tutors, parents, guardians and members of the public.
