A new website that makes it easier for applicants in Nigeria and other countries to plan their studies in Australia, www.studyinaustralia.gov.au, goes live this month, the country's High Commission said yesterday. The mobile-friendly design makes it easy for students to browse courses and institutions on any hand held or desktop device, wherever they may be in the world, it said.

Nigerian students can research and plan their Australian education via mobile phone and tablet on the new website. Potential students can also interact via social media, access information about scholarships and read or watch the stories of other students from Nigeria or elsewhere.

Australian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Jonathan Richardson, said the website is a reliable and comprehensive source of up-to-date information, with links to other education providers as well as details about living in Australia.

"An Australian education opens huge opportunities for graduates, enriching their personal and professional lives," Mr Richardson said. "Australia has a fantastic range of internationally recognised institutions offering high quality courses across the education spectrum. "Now, Nigerian students can learn about them quickly and easily in a format that suits their lifestyle.
