Katsina University Gets Accreditation for Law

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the establishment of a faculty of law at the Katsina State University, Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Mu'utassim Ibrahim has said.

He spoke in Dutsin-Ma when the National Good Governance Tour team went on an inspection of facilities at the institution.

Ibrahim told the team that the aspiration of the state government to upgrade the school to an international standard contributed to the possibility of the commission's approval.

He said the state government spent over N11 billion to upgrade the university, with over 7,000 students and 300 lecturers.
