GCB opens an Agency at the University of Education, Winneba.

Rev. Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni, Dean of Educational Studies and Madam Doris Wunu, the Head of Consumer Banking-GCB, jointly cut a tape to commission a GCB agency for UEW, Winneba Campus.

Welcoming guest to the occasion, the Area Manager, Mr. Martin Abofra observed that, the Ghana Commercial Bank for 49 years in the Effutu Community had enjoyed a healthy and fruitful relationship with the people and the University Community in particular. In his words, the bank currently sees the University of Education, Winneba as a strategic partner for growth. The agency thus is meant to deepen this relationship with UEW.

In a keynote address, the Head of Consumer Banking observed that, the establishment of the new agency is meant to help reduce congestion at the main branch. She encouraged patrons of the bank to adopt their self-service products like the ATM machines, e-banking, SMS-banking etc. so as to be able to bank anytime and from anywhere.

At the function were the Director IEDE, UEW Finance Officer, the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church, Winneba, the Branch Manager, GCB Winneba and a cross-section of Staff and Students of UEW.
