UOIT student research gets boost from the Rotary Club of Oshawa

Students at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) will have more opportunities to gain valuable hands-on research opportunities thanks to a recent $5,000 donation from the Rotary Club of Oshawa.

The donation supports the Student Research Enhancement Bursary, which recognizes  outstanding qualification of undergraduate and graduate students in the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities. Recipients of the bursary will be recognized as community leaders, scholars and ambassadors of good will.

Accepting the cheque of behalf of UOIT were Susan McGovern, Vice-President, External Relations and Dr. Carla Cesaroni, Director, Graduate Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. The ceremony took place at the Shriner’s Hall in Oshawa, Ontario.
