Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, and Head of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood attended on Tuesday evening a ceremony held to honour outstanding female graduates of UAE University, Zayed University and Higher Colleges of Technology.
Present were Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bin Zayed Bin Saqr Al Nahyan, wife of His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman and Supreme Council member, Shaikha Ousha Bint Shakhbout Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Shaikhas and female ministers and female members of the Federal national Council.
In a speech delivered on her behalf by Minister of State Dr Maitha Salem Al Shamsi, Shaikha Fatima expressed pleasure at the growing number of female graduates who are set to contribute in the country’s drive for comprehensive development.
Speaking on the occasion, Shaikh Fatima wished students success and urged them to continue to gain more knowledge in various fields and their applications.
“On this day, I am filled with happiness as I share success with a new galaxy of my daughters, the graduates who managed to complete their university study with distinction, who aspire to help serve their country and who are now enjoying the fruit of their persistence, perseverance and patience.
My daughters the graduates,” she added.
Shaikh Fatima said that the country is looking forward to benefitting from the new graduates and engaging them in the march for development.
“Your love and dedication to your homeland makes your role and contribution worthwhile. Your graduation as a distinctive batch of UAE women is a reflection of the global reputation our educational institutions have achieved,” she added.
She noted that the developing and empowering of the national human resources was a pivotal aspect in the vision of the Late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
“The march continues steadily under the wise leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan who has always been keen on providing all the requirements of educational development.”
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has also been providing unlimited support to the education and to the educational outcomes.
General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, has attached great importance to education and educational strategies as key components for the Emirates 2021 Vision.
“Our thanks also go to Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development for his efforts in the development and progress of higher education,” said Shaikha Fatima.
