Master of Medical Biotechnology program to be launch in Sept 2013(UW)University of Windsor

The University of Windsor is pleased to announce the launch of its newest graduate program, the Master of Medical Biotechnology, scheduled to commence September 2013.

The Master of Medical Biotechnology is a professional program that provides graduates of B.Tech, Biotech, B.Pharm, BSc in life sciences, Biochemistry, Biology or Chemistry with both a solid foundation of the theoretical concepts and practical industrially-applicable laboratory technique experiences used in medical biotechnology industries.

Students will receive training in business plan development and product commercialization while building the skills and knowledge needed to create a successful career in biotech entrepreneurship, medical and pharmaceutical materials characterization, medical diagnostics or biotechnology product development/monitoring.

The program covers 12 prescribed courses over a period of 16 months taught on site at the University of Windsor. Courses may include: Protein Structure and Function; Clinical Biochemistry; Lipid Biochemistry and Cell Biology; Protein Chemistry; Cell Death and Diseases; DNA Science and Diagnostics; Biotechnology Laboratory; and Biotechnology Entrepreneurship among others.
