National University of Singapore (NUS) will be offering a new undergraduate degree in Business Analytics, starting this August, in a bid to enhance the pool of business analysts in the country.
This multi-disciplinary programme will be under the School of Computing. However, students enrol to the course will have an opportunity to take modules in mathematics, statistics, economics, marketing, computer science and information systems.
The NUS spokesman said that the programme will prepare student to learn how “to organise, make sense of, and derive critical insights from large amounts of business data” during the period of four-year direct Honours programme.
Currently, there are already 40 students admitted to the programme this year, followed by 80 undergraduates a year by 2016.
