Emirates Aviation College unveils new name at GETEX 2014

Emirates Aviation College unveiled its new name, Emirates Aviation University, today at the Gulf Education & Training Exhibition (GETEX). This marks the first official appearance of the college?s new identity as a fully-fledged University.

The new academic status was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in recognition of the college?s diverse programmes. Emirates Aviation University reflects the breadth of the institution’s programme offerings; which include both undergraduate and post graduate degrees.

" Emirates Aviation College was already functioning as a University with its wide range of programmes and high rigor of education in multiple disciplines," said Dr Ahmad Al Ali, Vice-Chancellor Emirates Aviation University, "This new academic title will enable us to expand our international reach and meet the changing needs of the aviation and education industries at a time when the demand for both is expanding globally," Al Ali added.

Emirates Aviation University remains committed to offering new and industry-relevant programmes. Some of the programmes currently offered by the University include: Master degrees in Aviation Security, Aviation Safety, Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development.

It also offers MBAs in Aviation Management; Bachelor degrees in Aerospace Technology, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Avionics Technology, Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Management and Applied Business; Diplomas and Higher Diplomas in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Computing, Computing Software Development, Business Management and Tourism Management.

Emirates Aviation University will be present at GETEX until April 11th, where prospective students have the opportunity to learn about the course offerings and speak directly to the faculty. Additionally, Emirates Aviation University will host an Open Day for the public on Saturday, 19 April, where prospective students and their families may visit the campus and experience first-hand the diversity of the programmes offered.
