Zambezi Region Namibia to Host First High School Dancing Competition

The Zambezi Media Investment (ZMI) is hosting the first high school dancing championships in the Zambezi region starting next Friday.

According to owner and organiser of ZMI, George Simataa, all high schools in the Zambezi region are welcomed ton enter and expected to participate in the competition.
"Since dancing nowadays is taking over, and more people want to be dancers, we have also invited the FUBU Africa Brand to come witnesses the event and we would like to equip our dancers before that, for the sponsorship of their garments," he says.

 Simataa adds the first preliminary round will take place next Friday, March 21, and the grand final will take place on August 29. "Dancers can come with own songs or others' people music to audition for any type of music before next Friday," he concludes.

The Grand Finale will bring together top Namibian musicians like Exit and Sally, and many upcoming artists to perform during the event. The semi finals are scheduled for March 21 in Ngweze Community Hall in Katima Mulilo and dancers can register as individuals or groups with the maximum of six per group. The registration fee is N$ 50 before Friday, March 21. Tickets for the semi finals are N$ 15 in advance and N$ 30 at the doors.

At the Grand Finale on August 29, the first winners will walk away with N$ 1000 and second winners with N$ 500.
