Prof. Mamadou Koulibaly (born 21 April 1957) is an Ivorian politician who was President of the National Assembly of Côte d’Ivoire from 2001 to 2011. Previously he was Minister of the Budget in 2000 and Minister of the Economy and Finance from 2000 to 2001. For years he was leading member of the Ivorian Popular Front (FPI), briefly leading the party in an interim capacity in 2011 before quitting it. Koulibaly was born at Azaguie-Gare and studied economics, becoming an economist and economics professor.Koulibaly is the founder of Audace Institut Afrique, a free-market think tank in Ivory Coast.
Dr. Wale Okediran was born in April, 1955, in Oyo State Nigeria. He qualified as a medical doctor from Obafemi Awolowo University in 1980. He had worked in government an private hospitals for several years before he went into private practice in 1987. He remained active in private practice untill 1999 when he went into active politics and was appointed Chairman, Oyo State Hospitals Managment Board. He later contested for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives, where he represented his constituency from 2003 to 2007. He is the Author of the book “Tenants of the House”, a skillful fictional delineation of the ugly colours of Nigerian politics with its seeming intrigues, base motives, ‘win-at-all-cost’ motivations, and money as the great leverage.
Japheth Omojuwa is the curator of www.omojuwa.com and contributor of numerous articles on African and Nigerian socio-economic development. His works have appeared in local and international media including Thisday, Financial Times and regular articles on Punch Newspapers. He is a regular commentator on local and international radio and television platforms on Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges and opportunities. He has had consultancy services with the Prometheus Institute United States and currently works with Atlas Economic Research Foundation , Washington D.C. on their African programmes and projects.
Japheth has been an International Election Observer too while also working as a philanthropist in raising funds for terminally ill young Nigerians. He believes that the revolution Africa needs more than anything else is that of ideas and walking the talk of our productive beliefs. He uses social media to good effect for advocacy, business and social commentary. As a Blogger, he has interviewed past Presidents, Senators, top government functionaries and top celebrities. Japheth (@omojuwa on Twitter) has almost 100,000 followers. He is a much sought after speaker.
Mr. Kofi Bentil is a Lawyer, called to the Ghana Bar. He is also a Business Strategy Lecturer and Consultant, He has lectured in Ashesi University, and the University of Ghana Business School, he also holds many corporate training sessions each year in Business Strategy and Services Marketing and Management Skills.
Kofi is Vice President and Policy Analyst with Imani Ghana, voted among the top think tanks in Africa and one of the leading Think Tanks in Ghana. Kofi handles several areas including Energy policy, Education, and infrastructure with expertise. He is also Director of strategy for Mpedigree, A medical technology start up firm. He is currently working on a new company which will provide SMS payment solutions cross networks. Kofi Bentil runs Bentil Consulting limited, a Business Strategy Consulting Firm, he has incubated several business ventures, he has also judged various Business Plan competitions including the Google ‘Believe Begin Become’ Competition, Ghana Government’s Private Sector Development Competitions.
His professional interests range from Business Strategy, I.CT. and Project Management, He holds a B.A. in Geography and Resources Development, an MBA in Marketing and a second MBA in Think Tank Management, he also holds a Post Graduate LLB from the University of Ghana, and has taken various management and professional courses over his professional life. Kofi writes for varied intentional media, on Governance and Policy Issues especially relating to Ghana and Africa. He has travelled widely and is a much sought after speaker locally and internationally. He is Married with children, and is a professional class Bass guitarist.
Ayo Sogunro is the author of The Wonderful Life of Senator Boniface and other Sorry Tales, amongst others. He is a seasoned commercial lawyer, social critic and philosopher with keen interest in creative writing.
He was trained professionally at the University of Lagos and the Nigerian Law School, Lagos where the foundations for his social criticism and human rights activism were laid. In his active years of social engagement, Ayo Sogunro has not been afraid to tackle critical issues in Nigeria through his essays, poetry and stories. His writings, which are widely read—and generally controversial—have earned him references in both local and international media. He is a known essayist on issues of human rights and constitutional development in Nigeria. He was an active participant during the Occupy Nigeria mass movement, and an energetic sexual rights advocate, especially in the wake of the anti-gay legislation trend in Africa.
John Ojurabesa is an entrepreneur, certified business analyst and information technology professional, John possesses over seven years of working experience focusing on Technology Solution Development, Startups, Human Capacity Development, Social Innovation and the promotion of International Best Practices for Business Analysis. He has been actively involved in both entrepreneurial and Human Capacity Development initiatives and is the Founder and Chief Executive of The Ideation Platform, an incorporated organization that provides Learning and Development, Information Technology and Business Consulting products and services serving individuals and organizations in both the private and public spheres of the economy.
John was also Co-founder of other Start-ups such as Hodevah Networks, a non-profit Human Capacity Development platform and ef-Oneweb, a technology Start-up. Apart from his responsibilities as Chief Executive of The Ideation Platform, John works through the Learning and Development arm of his organization to train, mentor and support youths and professionals with a focus on Entrepreneurship, Business Analysis and Development and Personal Development. John is also a Director at the Nigerian arm of the International Institute of Business Analysis.
Peter Goettler was formerly managing director at Barclays Capital, where he served as Head of Investment Banking, Americas, Head of Global Leveraged Finance and Head of Global Loan Syndications. He was also Chief Executive, Latin America for Barclays plc. His primary philanthropic interests are the freedom movement and multiple sclerosis research and patient services. He is also a trustee of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New York City Chapter, where he serves as Board Chair. Peter also sits on the Board of the Atlas Economic Research Foundation.
