Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
The 1998 Civil Engineering year group has donated items and equipment to the Department of Civil Engineering of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in honour of the Late Professor Kumapley.

The items included a 1000 ml hydrometer jar, hydrometer Soil B (ASTM 151H), liquid limit Set A and liquid limit Set B.

Mr. Kwadwo Adinkra-Appiah, a member of the 1998 year group appreciated the efforts and hard work of the department which contributed to who they are today and that it had always been their dream to partner with the department to train students as well.

He believed that the partnership and assistance would be achieved through the basic trappings for the training of practically-oriented manpower that would prepare the future engineers to meet the critical demands for professionalism in the field of Civil Engineering. He added that the donation wouldn’t end there.

The alumni of Civil Engineering would continue to assist the department in the academic and practical fields. He also hoped that the gesture would go a long way to maintain the bond between the 1998 year group and the department.

Professor S. I. K. Ampadu, Provost of the College of Engineering, acknowledged and appreciated the donation. He described it as a very good sign since the 1998 year group after completion of their undergraduate course sixteen (16) years ago, made it in life and never forgot where they came from and to top it all decided to help the future engineers. He therefore called on other year groups to partner with the college as a whole to raise and train future engineers for Ghana.
