ASUU Declares Member Missing At OAU

The Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) has declared missing one of its members, Prof. James Olomo of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile Ife, Osun State and appealed to members of the public to help with information that could help trace him.

In a statement in Lagos by ASUU OAU chapter, it was noted that Prof. Olomo last communicated with friends and relatives on Saturday October 19, 2013 when he travelled from Lagos to Eket via Clabar and Uyo.

The statement added that Olomo's secretary, who also spoke with him around 8pm on Saturday the 19th of October, 2013 alerted colleagues and family members on October 21 that he had not returned from Eket and could not be reached on his phone since Saturday the 20th of October, 2013.

The statement added that several efforts have been made to find him including the lodging the complaint of his disappearance with the police and constant checking of the hotel he had lodged in the town.
