British Consul General Edward Hobart said: “Education and training have historically been a UK area of strength, which is why we wanted to bring it over seas to the UAE. We want to be a part in its growth and development, especially now that Dubai will host the Expo 2020.”

The 18 companies that took part in the first UK Skills Expo included the British Council, Cambridge English, Heriot Watt University and Pearson.

Randa Bessiso, Director – Middle East, Manchester Business School, said the event will be held annually.
