APA reports that the “State Strategy for the development of education in the Republic of Azerbaijan” focused on the improvement of norms, standards and regulations regarding the infrastructure of educational institutions, reconsideration of the establishment of accreditation of educational institutions basing on the international experience and state-funded education, providing staff training in priority fields basing on the real needs of the country’s political, economic and social development.
The strategy envisages improvement of admission and placement mechanisms of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, abolishment of admission plan for paid education at the public and private higher education institutions and determination of the state-funded education only for specialties.
Moreover, establishment of result-oriented and transparent management model in the educational institutions, granting educational institutions with management, academic, financial and organizational autonomies, establishment of mechanisms for strategic management in educational institutions are also planned.
