The university nitially collaborated with the Rwanda Tourism College. The first class graduated from the university in 2012 with 55 MBA and 3 undergraduate degrees awarded.

This year, more than 100 students will graduate in various disciplines such as Bachelor of Pharmacy, media and communication and nursing.

The university finances the education of 30 genocide orphans and its staff and students are involved in the monthly countrywide cleanup.

Also as part of it's cooperate social responsibility, the university has in place a counseling room with a fulltime counselor for day-to-day counseling for both students and the public free of service. This is very important considering that most Rwandese people are still suffering from trauma after the effects of the genocide.
