3 Unit Classroom Block Commissioned For Tokwai-Odumase JHS

A GH¢122,000.00 three-unit classroom block built for the Tokwai-Odumase Junior High School (JHS) in the Asante-Akim South District has been inaugurated.

It comes with a library, teachers’ common room and washrooms, and funded from the District Development Fund (DDF).

Mr. De-graft Fokuo, the District Chief Executive (DCE), said it was a demonstration of the government’s determination to provide the needed infrastructure to enhance access to quality education.

He said they would ensure that the right conditions are created for effective teaching and learning in schools.

He announced plans by the assembly to construct a teachers’ residential accommodation to help entice more qualified teachers to the rural communities.

Mr. Fokuo urged all stakeholders to work together to improve the academic performance of the schools.

Mr. Frank Yaw Musa, the District Director of Education, lauded the government for the project and said it would provide space for enrolment of more students and asked the community to ensure that it was properly maintained.
