School of Graduate Studies and Institute Distance Learning of KNUST graduated 1,902 Student

SGS and IDL Graduate Students of KNUST
The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) and the Institute of Distance Learning (IDL) of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have graduated a total of one thousand nine hundred and two (1,902) graduands. They were made up of one thousand and seventy nine (1,079) undergraduate students from IDL and eight hundred and twenty three (823) from SGS.

The breakdown of the graduands from the SGS is as follows: twenty five (25) PhDs, two hundred and forty two (242) were awarded Master of Science and Master of Public Health (MSc. /MPH) degrees.

Those who were awarded Master of Philosophy (MPhil.) numbered one hundred and twenty four (124), with thirty-eight (38) obtaining Master of Arts/Master of Fine Art and Master of Communication degrees (M.A. /MFA/M.COMM.).One hundred and forty four (144)students graduated with a Master of Business Administration(MBA).Two hundred and seventeen (217) students obtained the Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration and Commonwealth Executive Masters in Public Administration (CEMBA/CEMPA)with two (2)students obtaining Postgraduate Diplomas.

 This year a total of seven thousand, seven hundred and forty four (7,744) students from all the programmes run by the University were graduated and were awarded various diplomas and degrees. Out of this number, a total of two thousand and twelve (2,012) representing 26.0%were females and the remaining five thousand seven hundred and thirty-two(5,732) representing 74.0% were males. Out of the total of 6,921 undergraduate students, four hundred and ninety eight (498) students obtained First Class honours, representing 7.2%.One hundred and thirty one(131) were females.
