Ontario’s universities launch job site for students

Council of Ontario Universities
The Council of Ontario Universities (COU) has launched www.MyCareerInfo.ca, a website designed to help students, graduates and entry-level employees match their education, skills, desires and goals to jobs.

The student-friendly site features resume and interview tips, online budgeting tools, information on job market trends, and extensive job listings.

It also provides easy access to university career and student services, and is updated regularly with the latest news from the marketplace.

“Ontario universities already have many rich resources available for students and graduates,” says COU chair Max Blouw. “MyCareerInfo.ca is an extra resource to help students find the help they need to translate their skills into meaningful work.”

McMaster students can also access job searching tools and resources through the Student Success Centre.

The Centre, located in Gilmour Hall Room 110, offers assistance with cover letters and resumes, tips for interviews and networking and on-campus recruitment events.

More than 87 per cent of Ontario students find employment within six months of graduation. More than 93 per cent are employed within two years.
