Mekelle University Graduates Over 4,000 Students

Mekelle University of Tigray State on Saturday graduated more than 4,000 students, who received training in undergraduate and post graduate programs.

University President, Dr. Kindeya Gebrehiwot said more than 3,510 of the students received training in undergraduate program.

The President said 29 per cent of the undergraduates and 22 percent of the postgraduates are female. The University's annual enrollment capacity has increased to 8,000, he said, adding, currently it is training more than 28,000 students.

The University also provided honorary doctorate degrees to three sclars and a diplomat for their outstanding contribution to the development of Ethiopia and Africa.
