EKSU DONATES DIGITAL SATELLITE TV EQUIPMENT TO EKITI BROADCASTING STATION

The Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Professor Patrick Oladipo Aina has been commended for his revolutionary steps in making the institution a world-class University. He has also been praised for improving the frontiers of the institution in the area of partnership.

The Director General of the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State (BSES), Barrister Sina Awelewa made the remarks during a formal handing over of the Digital Satellite Television equipment and accessories donated to the BSES by the University.

Receiving the equipment meant for the newsroom of the Station, the Director General believed that the positive partnership between the Station and the University would continue to improve.

Barrister Awelewa promised that the station would continue to propagate the achievements of the University to enable the world know the fast steps being taken to become one of the best Universities in the world.

The Vice-Chancellor, who was accompanied by a retinue of staff including Principal Officers to the station, said that he was
impressed by the contributions of the broadcasting station in disseminating information to make the vision of his  administration to make the University a world-class institution a reality.

He said that the donation of the equipment was a way of supporting the station and appreciating it for being partners in progress. Professor Aina noted that the University has been breeding students that will positively affect the socio-economic of Ekiti State and the Nigeria in general.

Professor Aina also stressed that the University was gradually becoming the engine room of the State Government. The Vice-Chancellor and his entourage was later took a tour of the facilities of the Station. Areas visited include the newsroom, the control room, the library and the studio.
