Central University student wins season Four of the “Good Life Game Show”

Season Four of the “Good Life Game Show”, an educative and entertaining game show on television, has once again come to an end amidst fierce competition among the contestants.

The Good Life Game Show formed part of Ghana Health Services’ (GHS) “Good Life: Live it Well” campaign and is supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with technical support provided by the Behaviour Change Support (BCS) Project.

Dela Akwetey, a level 300 student of the Central University College was adjourned the winner the Season Four show after he beat his final competitor by a point.

He took home cash prize of GH¢5,000 and an array of Good Life souvenirs while the first runner up Robert Appiah, also of Central University College took home a cash of GH¢2,000 and souvenirs.

Doreen Dombo and Harold Nii Amponsah both from the University of Ghana, Legon, placed 3rd and 4th respectively and took home GH¢1000 each.

In a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency on Friday, Dr. Ebenezer Appiah-Denkyira, Acting Director General of the Ghana Health Service, said the “Good Life: Live it Well” was aimed at educating Ghanaians on the need to adopt healthy lifestyles.

He expressed satisfaction with the organization of the programme and encouraged all Ghanaians to be mindful of their health and take simple steps to ensure they stay healthy and enjoy their “good life”.

According to the statement, the final episode of Season 4 marked the end of 13 weeks of health education and fun as contestants were quizzed by game show host Johnnie Hughes on Viasat One TV on topics such as malaria, family planning, nutrition, and water and sanitation.

“The Game Show also gave an opportunity for viewers at home to be part of the competition, with 10 lucky viewers winning mobile phones through texting the correct answers to the short code 1761”, the statement read.

The statement urged patrons to stay tuned for more trails and fun on Season 5 of the Good Life Game Show on Viasat 1 Television.
