Petroleum Engineering software grant |
Petroleum Expertsis a consulting firm and petroleum engineering software Development Company. The software, which includes PROSPER, GAP, PVTP, MBAL, REVEAL, RESOLVE, HARDLOCK and OpenServer, is the industry standard for integrated field modelling and production optimisation and is the main tool used by British Petroleum (BP), Shell, Exxon Mobil, ConocoPhillips and many other leading petroleum companies to locate and efficiently produce petroleum resources.
Dr. Samuel Donkor, the President and Founder of the All Nations University College (ANUC), thanked Petroleum Experts for this generous gift which will equip All Nations University students with the technical expertise that will prepare them for the challenges in the workplace.
Dr. Donkor believes the experience gained in using this software will make students very attractive to potential employers, thus making ANUC’s graduates hugely employable. Dr. Carlene Kyeremeh, VP- Academic Affairs, says the University will use the software in realistic exploration-based practical exercises, which will further enhance the building of local content for the Oil and Gas industry; thus making Ghana an important player in this lucrative but competitive petroleum business.
Dr. Samuel Mintah Boateng, Head of Department for Oil and Gas Engineering, gave assurances that the software will be used solely for educational purposes. While Mr. Prince Opoku, a lecturer in the Department, said the software will help ANUC’s Oil and Gas Department keep pace with technology in the industry exposing faculty and students to relevant hands on practical training. Both Dr. Boateng and Mr. Opoku were instrumental in securing the grant for the University and have experience in using this type of software
