Winning teams at UAE finals of robot Olympiad
Winning teams at the UAE finals of the 2013 World Robot Olympiad were announced yesterday (Sunday) by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec).

In the Regular category of the Olympiad, Khor Fakkan Children’s Centre Sharjah was placed first among those aged under 13. Abu Ayyub Al Ansari School in Kalba was in second place, and Al Tamayuz School in Al Ain won the third spot. Among those aged under 16, Abu Ayyub Al Ansari School in Kalba won the first place, while Al Maqam School in Al Ain and International Jubilee Private School Abu Dhabi achieved the second and third spots respectively. Among those aged under 20, Al Dahmaa School in Al Ain won the first place, while Zayed Al Awal achieved second spot and IAT in Fujairah won the third place.

In the Open category, Our Own Indian School Dubai won first place, The Millennium School – Dubai achieved second place while Omar bin Al Khattab School in Dubai was placed third. In fourth place was Secondary Technical School in Abu Dhabi, while the fifth place was tied between Siji Children Centre in Sharjah and GEMS Modern Academy – Dubai.

In the Robot Football Category, Al Rigga Children’s Centre in Sharjah was placed first. Al Ghazali School in Abu Dhabi won the second place, while Al Rigga Children’s Centre in Sharjah came third and Al Hira Children’s Centre in Sharjah won the fourth place.
