UCLA Anderson in Los Angeles |
The innovative University of California Summer Institute for Emerging Managers and Leaders, which rotates annually among six different UC business schools, gives these students a chance to learn from world-class educators, take part in hands-on workshops and make valuable connections with peers and industry leaders. Participants receive all expenses–paid fellowships that cover airfare and transportation, room and board, and the cost of materials, events and activities.
The institute, which runs from June 13 to July 20, is open to first-year undergraduates, regardless of their declared major, who demonstrate an interest in business.
"The Summer Institute is a marvelous opportunity for undergraduates to be exposed to business and leadership fundamentals — an important ingredient of our public mission of outreach to diverse student populations," said Judy Olian, dean of UCLA Anderson. "The UC business schools are located in some of the country's most exciting hubs for entrepreneurship and innovation, including UCLA Anderson in Los Angeles, which benefits also from powerful connections with the Pacific Rim and Latin America."
