Rwanda School Sports Federation (RSSF) has endorsed Saint Joseph Kabgayi Secondary School in Muhanga District to host this year's inter-schools' finals slated for this weekend.
This year's finals comprise six sports namely; football, basketball, volleyball, handball, netball and rugby.
The winners from all categories will qualify for this year's East African School Sports (FEASSA) tournament to be held in Uganda in August.
However, the boys' volleyball category is not part of these finals due to the absence of key players for one of the semifinalist schools, Groupe Scholaire Officiel de Butare, who are part of the Under-19 national team that is due to take part in this year's World Youth Championship slated for June 27-July 7 in Mexico.
RSSF Technical Director, Aaron Rurangirwa confirmed the dates and venue for the finals. "The majority of Rwandan volleyball players passed through this stage, same to other sports like basketball. This is another period of the new impressive products (players)."
