More than 22 doctorates, seven masters and 1,762 undergraduate will be awarded at the institution's 21st graduation ceremony at the Juja main campus.
Seven students will get post graduate diplomas and 453 diplomas.
Twenty two Phds will be awared ten women which is a 50 per cent increase on last year's doctorates. Phds awarded to men have dropped by 20 per cent from last year's 15 to 12. The number of female graduands in science, mathematics and technology courses is lower than that of their male counterparts. Out of 426 students graduating from the College of Engineering and Technology, only 56 are female.
The Institute of Biotechnology Research only has three men graduating with masters degrees.
However, more women will graduate in social sciences and enterprise development programmes. The School for Human Resource Development has the highest number of graduands with 244 women out of 593 students.
The Institute of Energy and Environmental Technology has 80 per cent female students graduating.
