Three UG Students Selected by Bank of America
Three University of Ghana students have been made offers by the Bank of America Merrill Lynch. The students are Edmond Biirbia Kombat, Maama Adwoa Kwarteng and Derek Nyame-Afriyie. While Derek will do his Summer internship in New York, Mr. Kombat and Maama Adwoa Kwarteng will be based in London for their Summer Internship.

As part of their internships, each of the students, in addition to being provided training, information and resources, will be allocated a mentor and buddy from the business, who will be supporting them before and during their internship.

In April this year, representatives from the Bank engaged with University of Ghana students in a recruitment event dubbed, “Global Growth – Developing Talent in Africa”, where students had the unique opportunity to meet business representatives and learn more about the opportunities at the Bank of America Merill Lynch.

The event was open to students from any degree discipline who possess an interest in the financial markets and the career opportunities available in the industry. Students were required to submit their CVs.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch is one of the world’s leading financial institutions. This makes the Bank ideally placed to offer the scope and opportunities top-tier graduate talent deserves. The Bank prides itself as an institution global in reach, with a supportive, team-oriented culture, which promises interns/employees an invaluable insight into the world of finance.

Kudos to these three students who have demonstrated that there are world class materials at the University of Ghana who can meet international requirements and standards.
