Hi-tech University of Adelaide clinic a boon to dental training

University of Adelaide Dental Simulation Clinic
A new $6 million dental simulation clinic is set to put South Australian students at the forefront of dental education, the University of Adelaide says.

Dean of the School of Dentistry Professor Johann de Vries said the hi-tech clinic allows students to learn the latest dental techniques, practice the care of patients in a simulated clinic and experience the variety of equipment used in a real clinical setting.

“Our new Dental Simulation Clinic places the University of Adelaide at the forefront of dental education and training in Australia,” he said.

“It is the first facility of its kind in the state and one of the best in the nation.

“The new clinic is really a series of mini-clinics all in the one space. They feature everything you would expect to see in a real clinical environment, and more.”
