He said the University College had closely interacted with NAB and submitted all required data.
Mr Richard Adjei, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Board, made the observation at the 4th Congregation of the EPUC, in Ho on Saturday.
He said: “So to NAB, there is no question about the competence of the leadership of this institution”.
Mr Adjei said the Board advised the EPUC to introduce relevant programmes so that students could acquire skills needed for the job market.
The Reverend Dr Cyril G.K. Fayose, EPUC President, said the tertiary institution was in good standing and the NAB had re-accredited the University College on June 30, 2011 for another three years.
Currently, EPUC, which is under the mentorship of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), has accredited programmes, including Bachelor in Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Human Resource and Organizational Development, Credit Management and Finance, Integrated Development Studies, Corporate Secretaryship, Management and Agri-Business, Pastoral Ministry and Church Management.
Rev Dr Fayose said the EPUC was developing curricula for programmes in Arts and Social Sciences, Education, Computer Science, Agriculture and Environment Sciences, Modern Languages and African Music and Dance.
He said the University College, which started with 54 students, but now has 1,500, admitted 488 students this academic year.
Rev Dr Fayose said efforts were underway to provide the needed infrastructure and staff to take care of the increasing number of students.
Professor Joseph Ampiah Ghartey, Dean of the Faculty of Education, UCC, asked the graduating students to be focused, as the world of work was very challenging.
Prof Mawutor Avoke, Dean, Graduate Studies, University of Education, Winneba, called for sustained linkage between the country’s universities and industry.
Mr Francis Ganyaglo, Deputy Volta Regional Minister, asked the EPUC to produce “a generation of young people who have high initiative and drive”.
Last year, the Deputy Regional Minister instituted an award for the Best Marketing Graduate, which, was won by Derrick Selase Gadagoe, this year.
