Centre for entrepreneurship receives funding boost

Nottingham Trent University
Budding entrepreneurs in North Nottinghamshire have been invited to step forward after The Hive@Mansfield, Nottingham Trent University’s centre for entrepreneurship and enterprise, received a six-figure funding boost.

The Hive@Mansfield, which provides professional support to people who want to start a business, has been given £240,000 by the European Regional Development Fund to continue its main business support programme.

The centre, which is based at the Mansfield i-Centre in Hamilton Way, delivers a 12 week programme which is designed to establish whether people’s ideas have merit and to provide them with the basic business skills needed to make them a success.

Mike Huxley, outreach project manager of The Hive@Mansfield, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to receive this backing and want budding entrepreneurs to get in touch and find out how we can help them.

“We pride ourselves on providing a high quality programme which gives people the knowhow to get their ideas off the ground and make a business work.
“We want people from across the Mansfield and Ashfield areas, as well as Chesterfield, Bolsover and Bassetlaw to get in touch to find out how we can help them realise their business dreams
