Several structures including a science laboratory, and mechanical workshop were destroyed by trees that fell on several buildings.
School principal Chrysantus Wanyonyi told the Star the school has lost propertyto an estimated value of around Sh100 million.
"The rainshave rendered tuition barely impossible and we don't know where to start from," he said.
Nobody was hurt during the incident as many of the students wereat the boarding section.
The school also lost large tracts of banana plantation, animal feed and food.
Sang'alo Institute was recently elevated as the leading centre of excellence in agriculture among tertiaryinstitutions in Kenya.
