Taiwan’s education authorities have announced their recognition of diplomas from 70 more mainland colleges, including the Central University of Finance and Economics and China Geosciences University, in addition to the 41 schools they already recognized.
The latest list was announced on March 12.
A spokesman from the State Council’s Taiwan Affairs Office said that he welcomed the increase because it benefits cross-Straits relations, by encouraging Taiwan students to study on the mainland, and equally important, promotes communications between students across the Taiwan Straits.
