Marquette University and the marketing firm Laughlin Constable are hosting a digital marketing summit that includes a keynote address from the director of digital response for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.
The summit is 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Weasler Auditorium, 1506 W. Wisconsin Ave.
Keynote speakers include Matthew McGregor, with Obama's campaign; Molly McKenna, director of public relations at McDonald's USA, and Casey Flanagan, executive vice president of planning at Laughlin Constable.
The event is part of the Insight Summit Series hosted by Marquette and focuses on trends and the future of digital marketing and advertising.
Designed for marketing professionals, the summit will address digital strategy, user experience, advertising, mobile communications, content marketing, publishing, and measurement analytics.
The list of speakers includes Phil Gomes, senior vice president digital integration for Edelman Digital; Chick Foxgrover, chief technology officer for the American Association of Advertising Agencies; Elisabeth Osmeloski, search engine strategist and editor for Search Engine Land; Caitlin Moyer senior marketing manager for the Milwaukee Brewers; Martin Kaiser, senior vice president and editor for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel; Marti Gahlman, director of e-commerce and digital for Master Lock Co.; and Mike Kornacki, user experience architect for Johnson Controls Inc.
Conference fees are $129 for professionals and $25 for students, which includes breakfast, lunch and parking. Students interested in attending can apply for one of 50 Eisner Creative Foundation scholarships to attend the event free.
The event is sponsored by Marquette University and the Diederich College of Communication, Laughlin Constable, the Big Shoes Network, and the Eisner Creative Foundation.
Event proceeds will provide scholarship aid to students in the Diederich College of Communication.
