Professor Ganapathiraman Ramanath from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York will conduct a research stay at RWTH Aachen.
His stay is made possible through the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

The award honors internationally outstanding scientists. Award winners are expected to continue to shape their discipline beyond their direct field of work through further top achievements.
About 20 researchers from around the world receive this funding annually.

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Jochen M. Schneider, RWTH Aachen Chair of Materials Chemistry, nominated Ramanath for the research prize: "We are very much looking forward to the collaboration. Together we will research nanostructured oxide thermoelectrica.“
