Innovative technologies and their effects on employees are the focus of research at the RWTH Aachen Institute of Industrial Engineering and Ergonomics.
The use of data glasses - small displays that are worn in front of the eyes like glasses - is currently being researched.
The institute is looking for German speaking subjects between 18 and 60 years of age for a study between Feburary and May 2013.
Participants are asked to dismantle a car motor and other automobile components. The information needed to do this task is provided via the data glasses, so that any prior technical knowledge is not necessary.
Participants will be compensated 50 Euros for six hours. Individiuals suffering from migraines, those who wear progressive power lenses, and individuals with muscular-skeletal diseases are not allowed to particpate.
The study is being conducted in cooperation with the Franhofer Institute for Communication, Information Processing, and Ergonomics and the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
